Two separate applications will need to be submitted if you have hauled and towed loads/unlicensed equipment.
Truck permits are governed by Traffic Bylaw No. 7200 & Council Policy C07-019. Further details can be found on our website. If you require additional information you can contact us @ 306-975-1450.

Additional Conditions and Comments

  1. Designated truck routes within City limits.
  2. Loads >3.6m and <6.1m wide - No travel between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM and between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Monday - Friday
  3. Loads > 5.0m and < 5.5m wide require markers & 1 pilot. Loads > 5.49m wide require 2 pilots as well as markers
  4. Loads > 6.1m wide require markers & 2 pilots and can travel only between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM daily
  5. Loads > 63.4t Config. - front axle to rear axle cannot be less than 20.5m. If less call (306) 975-2454 for routing.
  6. Rock trucks and earth scrapers are not included and cannot be issued a permit for unlicensed self-propelled equipment.
  7. Loads > 34.01m long require a pilot vehicle & loads > 38.01m long require 2 pilots
  8. Unlicensed Equipment < 4.1m wide without signals and beacons requires 1 pilot
  9. Unlicensed Equipment >4.0m wide must travel between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM with 2 pilots
  10. Loads > 7.32 require police assistance
  11. Loads > 42.00m long require police assistance in addition to 2 pilots

  16. Also attached is the truck route map which shows the height clearances under various structures along the truck routes. Please review this before travel as your maximum permitted height might be greater than the clearance under a few structures.
  17. Please keep a copy of the permit in your power unit(s). If you are stopped by Police and are unable to produce the permit, you may be ticketed.
  18. No travel Circle Dr or Idylwyld Dr south of 8th St between 7:00 AM & 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM Monday -Friday
  19. Attached are the bridge test results showing which structures the unit(s) is able/not able to cross. Please refer to it prior to travel.
